Instructions for Use:
1) Soak stone in water until bubbles stop (5-10 mins), then place on black silicone holder above wood block.
2) Slide blade edge along coarse grit side at 10-20 degree angle, with light to medium hand pressure. Alternate blade sides every 2-3 strokes. Maintain consistent angle on both sides.
3) Sprinkle water on the top
Care:
It is very important that the stones and bamboo base be allowed to dry after usage and prior to storage. The stones will hold some water after they are used, and must be allowed to drain before being stored in the case. Always allow the stones and bamboo base to dry completely before storing.

They are great! Well packaged and organized. The grit increments threw me off at first. The first block was a 240 and 800 grit. The second was 600 and 1500. The third block was 1000 and 3000. I was figuring the first block would have been 240 and the other side would be 600. Then move on to the next block of 800 and 1000. And so on. Not a big deal just need to plan a head and get blocks soaking. The fourth block was chipping away a little bit the first time I used it. That’s probably due to my lack of experience and not keeping the blade flat on the surface. Overall I am very satisfied with this product. I sharpened an old 10″ kitchen knife that we have had for decades that I don’t think has ever been sharpened other than the failed attempts of using a honing steel. I could run my finger down the whole blade and not break a layer of skin. Now it’ll slice through a sheet of paper.

Received as gift and have really enjoyed learning to sharpen knives. This is a great set and good value.

Let me start off by saying that I am a die hard stone user. I’ve used a lot of diamond stones, files, never did get the results I wanted. These stones are just what I needed and wanted to round out the stones I use for sharpening knives.

First of all I love this set. I purchased the set primarily for my hunting knives, but now every blade in my house is razor sharp. Could not recommend it more if you want sharp cutlery.

Stones seem good, I’m not a master sharpener but with practice have gotten great results. I did receive 2 guides (which I find kind of pointless) and 2 bamboo stands; unsure why. I would buy this set again.
